MCP/Seton
I hope I'm posting to the correct board...anyways, my question is, has anyone that has used MCP math for K-3 switched over to Seton's new math books? I am wondering how they compare. We are currently using the MCP and I would like to incorporate something Catholic, now that one is available.
Thanks,
Michelle

Re: MCP/Seton
I used both the MCP K and then Seton Math K...the Seton seemed like a Catholic version of MCP to me...same content and format, but with Catholic pictures (which are very pretty, by the way).

Re: MCP/Seton
I have not used MCP, but I have both for 2nd gr. Karin is right. Seton is the catholic version of MCP. I'm going to like using both.

Seton Math
I love the Seton math books. The use of the classical Catholic art in the books keeps distractions away and the level of work is very challenging. I homeschool year round, so what I do is have my children go through the Saxon math program during the summer (we whiz through it, but it is good reinforcement); we use only the workbooks and leave the meeting book alone. That preps them to have great success with the corresponding level of Seton. It works beautifully.
