Sending Links

This is off topic, but I didn't know where else to find the answer. How do you send an address link? I've posted some FS and tried to send my e-mail address as a link, but it didn't work. I'm minimally computer savvy!

Do you mean you've tried to add your email into your post? I've noticed that when others have done this it is not showing up correctly. you could try 1) writing it without . and @ and say adele AT google DOT com or
2) state in your FS post that people should send you PM (private message). I personally prefer PM's because they don't get lost in spam folders and such.

I noticed some people include an e-mail address or website that you can click on and go to it. I'm trying to figure out this new forum and how to respond to posts.

you have the envelope showing next to your name so they can click on that to email you.

otherwise they can click on MP and send you a private message that you will get through the forum system. you can check those at the top of the forum

it's up to the poster whether or not they want to received emails. i would rather people send me a private message, so i did not activate my email button. i haven't noticed anyone without an "MP" button

I didn't realize that was set by our preferences. Thanks for explaining. It would be easier to use this new forum if we knew how.
