mildly autistic son

It has been a year now since your post. How are things going? Did you have anyone respond to your post? I would be interested in sharing ideas with you or discussing areas of challenges with you. I have a 9 year old son who has mild autism, we think. We haven't opted for further testing either because of time and money issues. We have been focusing on pre-reading skills, speech skills, pre-handwriting, and math. This year we have seen improvement and will add Five in a Row format for literature and phonics. It is encouraging to see progress. I am hopeful that he will read one of these days.
